Capgrains was formed in 1984 by a far sighted group of farmers who believed that their future depended on their ability to develop control of factors external to their farms. They recognised a need to retain control of their production through to end user buyers or importing countries. They believed that this would improve profitability, increase quality control and ensure that buyers could rely on continuity of supply.
All members had long realised that as individuals they had little influence.
All were eager to join Capgrains as they believed collective strength obviously
provided opportunities denied to them as individuals.
All Capgrains members are respected in their local communities. They are innovative,
at the forefront of farming technology and noted for their contribution as
leaders in Australian agriculture.
Capgrains is known as a reliable supplier of products which meet buyers specifications. Capgrains is continuing to pursue new opportunities to ensure growth and prosperity into the future.
